Cumin Avocado Burgers

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp Acala Farms Toasted Cumin Cottonseed Oil
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2-3 oz bourbon
  • 2 avocados
  • 2 tomatoes
  • Sharp cheddar, sliced
  • 1 loaf ciabatta, cut in fourths



  1. Heat grill to medium-high.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground meat, eggs, Acala Farms Toasted Cumin Oil, cayenne pepper and bourbon.
  3. Lightly pack into four patties and and place on grill. Cook evenly to your desired temperature, flipping burgers after 10 minutes. Add cheddar slices 1-2 minutes before removing burgers from heat.
  4. Slice avocados and tomatoes.
  5. Slice ciabatta quarters to make buns and place on grill to lightly toast. Remove once bread is lightly crisped.
  6. Assemble burgers and top with your preference of condiments.
